GiftAMeal is a mobile application that helps provide a meal to someone in need each time a user dines at a partner restaurant. Featured in the St. Louis Business Journal, Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine, Fox 2 News, and more, GiftAMeal has over 250+ partner restaurants and has provided over 695,000 meals to those in need.

We are seeking a Chief Growth Officer to help take us to the next level. We've built the foundation: a scalable app with a full-time CTO, a successful recent $500,000 fundraise along with a $100K grant, statistically significant case studies showcasing our value, and the addition of a 32 location restaurant chain. Now, we want to take what we've achieved in St. Louis and explore strategies to grow nationally.

Your Role:

  • Lead ideation and execution of growth strategy alongside the CEO to drive revenue

    • Reach out and close deals with national and regional restaurant chains​​​ as well as franchisees

      • Conduct lead generation, qualify prospects, source referral introductions, make cold calls, schedule and attend appointments, provide proposals and quotes, attend conferences, etc.

    • Create partnerships with other food technology companies

    • Craft organizational structure of sales team along with motivating compensation packages

    • Brainstorm and implement new sales strategies (e.g. virtual Zoom sales, inbound channels through white papers or digital marketing, etc.)

    • Improve our offering and sales pitch

    • Develop relationships with strategic partners, advisors, and customers across the food industry​

  • Boost internal operations that impact growth

    • Put together growth and financial projections with targeted milestones

    • Set key performance indicators and ideate new ways to gather and analyze data to guide company actions

    • Assist with sales recruiting and onboarding, along with overseeing the sales team to set them up for success

 

Above all, you will be a leader and feel a sense of ownership over the company. You will be working side-by-side with the CEO and CTO as we look to scale.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

There isn't one set type of person that we're looking for -- mainly, we are just looking for someone smart, genuine, and driven who will help take us to the next level. The following would all be great experience to set you up for success in this role.

  • Direct sales experience where you conducted the full cycle from lead generation to pitching to closing deals

  • Experience in the food tech, restaurant, or hospitality industries (especially if you still have an active network to tap into)

  • Proven track record of building and/or managing a sales team

  • Held an executive level role at a successful startup

Compensation:

 

As a startup, we are looking for a candidate who will feel a sense of ownership over the company and values company success. That’s why major equity upside is a significant part of compensation in addition to monetary bonuses. Compensation will be commensurate with relevant experience.
